Apparently Group N is not dead. This Group N class STi was !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! by JRM which is the same firm that helped develop the GT3 spec Nissan GT-R. I wish there were more rally cars like this instead of all these new micro compact hatches that car makers are homologating for rallying nowadays

Subaru would have to build a 1.6L direct injection turbo engine to get back into the WRC, they make one with variable valve timing but lacks the rest. I would love to see Subaru release a 3 door with a 1.6 turbo maybe under the Leon name again.

WRC is a soulless pit of boring these days.

Not yet. Anyway, I never understood why Imprezas or Evos where in the the group (N4) as less powerful car like this Renault 5 GT Turbo. 300 Hp and AWD for the Japanese vs 140 and FWD for the Renault...
(My father was a co-driver on the one pictured)

I wish Group N got more love. There's still Subies and Mitsus going at it. Sedans , too.

There will always be a special place for big winged turbocharged AWD Japanese sedans in my book.

2014 is looking epic with new cars and the biggest driver shake-up in decades. Just sayin.
